- Our entire property is certified as a Wildlife Habitat and Sanctuary by the National Wildlife Foundation;
- 1/3 of our lands are zoned as a conservancy and are gradually being replanted with native Wisconsin prairie plants and wildflowers;
- Our apothecary and orchard gardens are built on sustainable permaculture practices, improving the soil, and supporting local wildlife and ecosystems;
- Our lands are alive with the buzzing of native bees and pollinators, including the critically endangered rusty patch bumblebee spotted in 2023, and the tittering songs of many birds;
- We steward several rare and endangered herbs;
- We volunteer our time helping with local town and state parks projects; including the conversion of roughly 60 acres of local farmland (containing an extremely rare remnant of untouched prairie and oak savanna!) back to its more natural state.
- 30% of the sales price on Whole-Hearted Apothecary LLC products in the Swiss Historical Village Museum and Gift Shop in New Glarus goes directly to support the museum.
